Thank you for your reply. I recently started studying ink painting and it's been a fascinating experience to enter this wonderful, explored world. Before I found your web site, I was using materials I found at an art supply store...Ok, especially as I'm a beginner, but then I started ordering from you, I have found that in addition to the pleasure of painting, there is a real pleasure in the tools you use as well.

I have been drawing for years using conventional, commercial artists inks.
The discovery of Chinese ink sticks has been a revelation. I love the consistency and performance of the ink so much more than commercial inks, and the fragrance they give off when you prepare them is marvelous.

The same can be said for the inkstones. I have purchased three so far, and it's funny how different they are and how different the experience of making ink is with each.
