Save you a lot of grinding time when use an old well aged inkstick! The famous Hui Inkstick maker name: Hu Kai Wen originally came from the CALLIGRAPHY ingraved on this inkstick: Tien Kai Wen Yuan. On the left is a 2.3 oz one year old qinmo. These 4.2 oz inksticks are made around 1981-82. Very precious, We bought out the whole collection left from the factory. One of our collector took 60% of the lot. We are happy to present the rest to our artists here in USA. It will last a long long time, if you use it everyday. Every time after you use, stamp on the xuan paper to absorb any excessive wet ink/water on the inkstick. Then immediately put the inkstick in the box and cover it. Do not leave in light and heat. Put in the box to let dry slowly. If you live in an area that use heat, wrap the inkstick with tape to the bottom tip. Then peel off up while using it. This will preseve the inkstick very well while using.
Even inkstick you are not using right now, do not leave them in light and heat.
