Here is a msg from someone who had spent the money and energy sampled out all of the Bay offers by other sellers:
"Yes, I have checked the Internet and for my own use my opinion is that YOU DO HAVE THE BEST QUALITY items of the "Four Treasures." I have found no other as good and just having a few samples of lesser quality makes me realize this. I can at least show people who might be interested the tremendous difference."
" I haven't really seen any inkstones on the internet for purchase that can even come close to the quality and uniqueness of what you have."

What's New? (Aug, 2003)
We got the most treasured artist inksticks for you that's still exist in
China. Don't belive any of the 19th centure old inksticks on EBay. They
are fake. We have many
of these too for you learn from. But we tell you they are not for
real use.
The 30 - 45 years old inksticks that we just got shipped to USA are
made during and before the Cultural Revolution. From 1950's to 1970's. As
you can see, most of them have Mao, Zengdong and other propaganda slogans
engraved. The two pre-cultural revolution ones have totally different
character. They are scholarly and romantic. In tradition with Chinese
culture. While the ones made during cultural revolution, they are
political. But many of these calligraphy engraved is very valuable. Not
just it's style of calligraphy, but also as evidence of that era.
We bought the whole inventory out from the old maker Hui SHe Old Hu
Kaiwen inkstick factory. We are offering here as artist inksticks, not as
rare collector's items. Hope you will appreciate them and use them.
Special care need to be taken with these inksticks. Please have the
plastic wrapper on the inkstick at all time. Never expose them under
extreamly dry and sun. You can leave them under room conditon with the
plastic wrapper on. Show to people with the wrapper on. As these are over
30 years old, they have been very well kept. But sudden dry air can easily
crack the inlstick. If you use them, after grinding, immediately wipe dry
the water and put in plastic wrapper.
It's really old inkstick, hairline cracks on the inkstick is perfectly
normal. Great care has been put into these inksticks over the 30 -40
years. Just the labor of love is worth much more than what we sell them
here!
All of inkticks were made for artists use. Some are Pure Oil Soot
inksticks, make from same material as Jing
Buyi inkstick, they are great for painting.. Some are Premium
Pine soot inksticks, same material as psonyan,
they
are great for calligraphy.
