I'm really a beginner in Chinese brush painting but I love it SO much. My tourist robot is one of the example of my attempt at bridging the gap between my usual (old) style and brush painting. Just for your info I enclose the illustration I did only yesterday, this is "my" usual (commercial ? :-D) style of painting, but I'm trying to incorporate more and more Chinese style things in my painting. Brush painting has changed the way I see rocks and trees. Brush strokes are now more that a "border" between two colours, they have a life and are an expression of energy, or at least I try to make them that way. ......
